South Carolina’s Senate Bill 669 is a step backward for healthcare. It adds costly, unnecessary regulations on APRNs—forcing them to hire physicians to lead their own teams. This means higher costs for patients and less access to care, especially in vulnerable communities.

APRNs, CNSs, and nurse midwives should remain under the Board of Nursing—as they do in 47 other states. Let nurses do what they’re trained to do: deliver safe, effective care.

I would like to see everyone in our state flood senator scotts email box this week asking for a response as to why he cut the Medicare spending to Primary Care. There is a direct link in primary care spending to the reduction in overall spending for Medicare. Please ask for a response as well.

Jennifer A. Sapp‎ to South Carolina Nurse Practitioners for Full Practice Authority

Is anyone able to give me a status on FPA in SC? What’s the best way to be involved? Is there any legislation discussing FPA?
Thanks and stay safe out there!
