Our fall general club meeting in Flatwoods will be November 1st at 11am, at the Flatwoods Community Building (220 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV, 26621). Board meeting starts at 9am. Make sure you block this date out. Every club must have a representative attend this meeting. We will be picking our 2027 locations and dates.

We will also be discussing the path of the Bass Federation, so it's very important for your club to have a voice at this meeting!

In addition, the Bass Federation is giving away a new NITRO Boat to one of our members! Current 2026 members will get an entry, and if your club members dues are paid prior to Dec 31 2026, each member club member will get a second entry! (see flyer) New 2027 club members will also get an entry if their dues are paid prior to Dec 31 2026!

Update on our Muzzle Loader raffle. It's moving pretty slow, so we've decided to make each spot $10 each instead of $20 each. Those that have already payed cash, Venmo, or PayPal will receive double the spots. So, if you bought two spots, you now have 4 spots! We have 20 spots remaining as of this post.

Here is your 2027 State Team! We also need to mention that not only did Hayden Ross make the State Team as a boater, he also had the Big Fish for the tournament at 3.10 pounds! Great job Hayden! Congratulations to our State Team members!

Here are your State Championship results! Congratulations to the top ten making the state team, and a bigger congratulations to JC Christopher and Brad Billeter for earning a trip to the National Championship!

Here are your day 1 results for the West Virginia Bass Federation State Championship! After tomorrow, the top two will make the West Virginia State Team, and will qualify to fish at the National Championship next spring! Places 3-10 will also make the West Virginia State team! Good luck to everyone tomorrow, and bring your rain gear! See you on the water!

Here's the pairings for Day 1(Saturday) of our State Championship! After Day 2 is completed, the top two finishers will have earned their way into the National Championship next spring. We will be launching from the Battle Run ramp at 7am, or safe light. Mandatory meeting at the ramp at 6:15am. The cove at the ramp will be off limits both days.

We will doing a 50/50 drawing both days($5/ticket or 5 tickets for $20), big fish for both days($5/day), AND, if you want to get in on our fundraiser to win a muzzleloader with a scope and sling, I will be collecting that money as well($20/slot). We have 46 of 60 slots remaining. So, bring some extra cash with you!

Ok, here we go! As I mentioned in an earlier post, we are going to raffle off some items for a fund raiser. ANYONE can get in on these raffles.

The next item is a Traditions Buckstalker XT 50 cal. Muzl Ldr with a 3 X 9 X 40 mounted scope, and a padded sling. You can see it in the first comment on the WV Bass original post.

We will have 60 spots for $20 each. You can pay by Venmo () or PayPal (), or arrange to meet and pay cash. Please send PayPal or Venmo to “friends and family” so we don’t incur a charge, and in the notes section, please put your name. Thanks.

Congratulations to Jason Suter (boater) and Bill Fore (co- angler) for earning the top spots for WVBF at this year’s Semi National event on Lake Anna, VA! Both anglers will be moving on to next spring’s elite National Championship! (site to be determined).

We also want to congratulate boaters, JC Christopher, Brian and Kaleb Hill, for finishing 5th 7th and 8th place overall, and co anglers Jared Bowen, Bill Harmon, and Michael Bierer for finishing just ounces behind Bill!

Thanks to all the other anglers that represented WV in this event.
