An Osprey devours a huge catch! These birds are among the most successful raptors on the planet! So much so that as they take their catch back to the nest, Eagles will often attack to steal what the Osprey has caught!
I've seen three Osprey launch from nests along the river, to drive off a Bald Eagle pursuing a valiant Osprey bringing home dinner.
How many screeching battles between the these raptors take place unseen out in the wild places?
