Our 2025 Backpack Buddies Challenge Fundraiser starts TODAY! Once a year, we ask the Kiawah community and our neighbors to support our mission to fight childhood hunger and support local children in need through our Backpack Buddies Program. We are a 100% volunteer run organization.

Each week, during the school year, we purchase, pack and deliver bags of shelf-stable food to local school children who are identified by their counselors as food insecure. We are currently packing 345 bags of food for students at Angel Oak Elementary, E.L. Frierson Elementary, Minnie Hughes Elementary and Haut Gap Middle School and we couldn’t do it without the support of our generous community! Please help us continue to support these children.

Any amount helps! $250 sponsors one child for one school year.
