Smooth Bass wasn’t just a character… he was real.

A friend of mine growing up.

We’d be out playing basketball, just kids in the middle of chaos — and he’d always have something to say. Not in a preachy way… just real. Telling us we could do better. Live better.

He stayed grounded in the church, played bass with his dad… but he chose to spend his time with us, trying to lift people up.

Sometimes he’d be right there in the park, playing and speaking life into everyone at the same time.

That kind of presence sticks with you.
That’s where the inspiration came from. 🎶✨

Slim Carl’s story is something special.

He grew up in Macon, Georgia, making his own drums and playing them on a hill in the evenings. Kids from all around would come listen as the sun went down.

And at the end of each night, he’d gather everyone for a prayer before they headed home.

That’s the kind of inspiration behind The Sandbox Kidz. 🎶🌅🙏✨

My relationship with Jesus has been a long journey.

There were moments I didn’t see a way out — even through cancer — when everything felt like it was falling apart. But every time, God showed up.

Through prayer, I kept getting the same answer… don’t give up.

And I’ve learned — when no one else is there, He is. That’s what’s strengthened my faith the most. 🙏✨

It’s about giving kids room to imagine, to create, and to figure out who they are — not just who the world tells them to be.

The hardest part of building The Sandbox Kidz? Doing it when no one believed in it.

I’ve been doubted. Counted out. Told I wouldn’t amount to anything. And a lot of this journey… I’ve had to walk alone.

But the vision didn’t go away. It just got stronger. And I kept showing up anyway.

Sometimes the biggest hurdle is building something when you’re the only one who sees it. 🎬🔥✨

What are kids learning when no one’s paying attention?

This project is about showing something better — kids connecting through music, stories, and shared experiences.
That’s why the story became books. Why we filmed a documentary. And why there’s more coming next.
