I am challenging Lodges nationwide to initiate 6,000 new Elks during September and October. Every member initiated in September or October will be part of my 2026 GER Membership Class. The Grand Lodge Membership & Marketing Committee will share our national progress throughout the fall as Lodges, Districts, and State Associations take up the challenge.
Right now, approximately 13,000 qualified candidates are awaiting initiation. These people have said yes to the Elks and taken the first step toward membership. Now it is our turn to welcome them into our Order. Every new member strengthens our Lodges and expands our charitable impact.
My challenge to every Lodge is simple: conduct at least one Initiation during September or October. Don’t wait for a large class. Put a date on the calendar and contact your candidates. When candidates are ready, please be ready to initiate them.
We have an incredible opportunity ahead of us, but reaching 6,000 will require action from all of us. Set your Initiation date. Make the calls. Welcome our newest Elks.
