I’m a little behind this month. Internet problems at home. Here is the June 2026 menu calendar for The Community Center. Lots of great meals to choose from for the low cost of a $5 suggested donation ($10 fee if under 60). Our meals are prepared daily M-F by our in-house cook and served to you fresh and hot. You can be in and out in 1/2 hr if you are in a hurry or need to get back to work.

The Blackjack prize at The Community Center is now up to $500! Come play bingo with us this next Tuesday, May 19th, and you could be the big winner! Games start at 6:30 pm sharp. All games pay cash prizes. So even if you don’t win the big prize you could still walk away with extra cash in your pocket.
Bingo card packets for purchase are $5, &10 or $15. Cards for special games played though out the evening are $1 each. Depending on the packet you choose you can play all evening for only about $10.

$450!! That's the jackpot for Blackjack at The Community Center bingo tonight. Get blackout in 58 numbers called and you can walk away the lucky winner.
Every game pays a cash prize. The Community Center bingo pays out 70% of the purse for the night so the more people there, the more you win! Invite your friends and come play. Games start right at 6:30 sharp. $5, $10 and $15 card packets are available for purchase and a $1/card for any additional special games played throughout the evening. Depending on which packet you purchase, you could play all night for only $10. Join us for some fun and you could be going home $450 richer!

REMINDER: Don't forget the 1968 tornado memorial event at The Community Center this Friday. Program starts at 10am but doors will be open at 9am. Come join us. Share a story or just hear about experiences from that fateful day. See pictures of the damage and memorabilia shared by others. Bring some of your own to share! Stay for lunch. Here are The Community Center May 2026 Menu and Program calendars.
Thursday, May 7th will be the 1st of 8 classes in the Aging series being put on by the ISU Extension office. Classes will be Thursday of each week from May 7th through July 16th with July 2nd being the only exception. See the calendar for more details.
A special Tornado Memories program will be held in conjunction with the Floyd County Museum on Friday, May 15th, the 58th anniversary. Community members will be sharing stories of that day and its aftermath. Whether you want to share a story or just listen to the experiences of others, all are welcome! Anyone wishing to share a story please call the Center at 641-228-3114 by Wednesday, May 13th to let us know. In addition to story sharing there will be a slide show depicting the damage in the storm’s aftermath. We would love to have you stay after the program to share the meal with us. The menu is meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, berry fluff, cake & ice cream and a drink. The cost of the meal is only a suggested $5 donation (60 & over, $10 fee if

Ever wanted to go to Hong Kong and Vietnam? Linda Brant and Murray Harris are adventuresome travelers and great presenters as they share their travels recently. Please come and see and hear what they’ve experienced there at the Community Center, Wed. April 8 at 11am. Please call today if you want to eat there also - $5 donation. NOTE: There has been a change in the schedule of programs for next week at The Community Center. Todd Pritchard is unable to come on Wednesday, March 25th but Doug Lindamin has kindly volunteered to step in with a program about our local Mennonites and the economic value they add to our community.

In addition we have Levi Miller, our High School principal, coming on Tuesday, March 24th with "High School Updates".

Another really fun program will be on Thursday, March 26th. Erica Joiner, the High School Drama Director will be coming with drama students presenting! You won't want to miss it.

All programs start at 11am and are followed by our meal at about 11:55am. While you're there you may want to stay for our delicious dinner. It is prepared each day by our in-house cook and served to you fresh and hot for the low cost of a suggested $5 donation. The meals on those days are:
Tuesday-Cheeseburger on WW bun, Potato Salad, Vegetable and Fruit.
Wednesday-Ham Slice, Sweet Potato Fries, WW Bread, Vegetable and Fruit.
Thursday-Taco Casserole, Mexican Rice, Black or Refried Beans and Fruit.
Although there is no program on Friday our meal will be Tuna and Vegetable Pasta, Breadstick, Lettuce/Spinach Salad and Fruit.

All we ask is that you call a day ahead to reserve your meal. 641-228-3114. You need not be a member to attend the programs or eat with us. Please join us. All are welcome. Hope to see you there!
