We are volunteers creating beds and providing bedding for children ages 3-17 who have no bed in the Chariton and Knoxville, Iowa area.

Wow 8 beds were delivered today. 4 by the South crew and 4 by the north! What a great day getting 8 kids quality beds and bedding! Thanks to all the volunteers, donators, quiltmakers, builders and deliverers! We couldnt do it without all the contributors!

We have some great news! Thanks to grants from The Vredenberg Foundation and other grants we have additional funding for our current area and will be expanding to Decatur and Clarke counties east of Interstate 35. If you have a child ages 3-17 in need of a bed in the area message or call us for more details or to request a bed.

4 beds were delivered to kids in Prairie City thanks to the generous grant from the 100+ Men of Redrock for Marion County and PCM School District. That makes 232 beds! If you have a 3-17 year old needing a bed in Lucas, Marion, or Wayne county or PCM School District message or text us with questions or to request a bed. The information is on the last picture.

Larry and Rod pictured receiving a $3,000 grant from Marion County Community Foundation last night. This will fund beds for Marion county again this year. Thank you for supporting our mission.

5 beds were delivered to Chariton kids this week! Thanks to our crews Daryl, Ron, Dave, Rod, and Larry for delivery and set up. Also thanks to all those who’ve donated, built beds, made blankets and quilts and all efforts to get beds to the kids! 8 beautiful quilts were donated by the Lacona Quilts for Vets and Chariton Valley Piecemakers Quilt Guild members this morning. We are very grateful for the many quilt donations we’ve received from these members. Most of the quilts have been quilted by Nancy S, Jo Anne S, Karen M, and Joyce W. Thank you all!

4 more kids have beds today. That makes 220 since we began a little over 2 1/2 years ago. Thanks to all those who’ve donated their funds, bedding, time, and talents to provide these much needed beds and great quilts and comforters. It truly takes a village!

The Wayne county crew delivered a set of bunk beds today! 216 delivered so far! Please message us for more information or provide the information on the form to request a bed. We serve 3-17 year olds in Lucas, Marion, and Wayne counties and PCM school district.
