The Lucas County Arts Council is proud to sponsor this event. The Cinderella is a perfect show for children and the whole family! We are thrilled to present Joshua Borth’s adaptation of Cinderella as part of the 2026 OPERA Iowa season.

In this new adaptation of the classic fairytale, Cinderella overcomes her circumstances and transforms into the person she was always meant to be...which is who she was all along! Featuring new twists, this timeless tale of kindness, love, and self-realization is sure to enchant young—and young at heart—audiences of all ages. With hilarious characters and set to some of Rossini’s finest music, it becomes comic opera at its most exhilarating best!

This event is FREE and open to the public.

Today is the day! The fourth Vredenburg Concert Series concert is here! Empire Trio is set to perform today, Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM. The concert is in Johnson Auditorium. This cincert will feature the Chariton High School Concert Choi Price of admission is $30 for adults and $5 for Students. See you tonight!!

Only 1 week until Empire Trio! The fourth Vredenburg Concert Series concert of the season is Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

Empire Trio's show, Bravissimo Broadway combines classic show tunes from the most beloved Broadway musicals, with their own breathtaking and unique arrangements. The show will take you on a thrilling 70 plus year adventure of the best songs and behind the scene stories Broadway musicals have to offer. The concert will include music featuring the Chariton High School Concert Choir.

Price of admission is $30 for adults and $5 for Students. Tickets are available at the door. Season tickets can be purchased from the Chariton Chamber office, or Piper's. Season tickets are $75 and include admission to all five shows this season. Credit/Debit cards are not accepted at this time.

It’s concert day! See you tonight!

A quick note about parking: The parking lot is slick and spaces at the R Iowa Barn are limited and can fill up quickly. Please use caution when walking in the parking lot! Carpooling is encouraged to make parking easier for everyone.

You are invited to attend Cookies, Cocoa, and Carols presented by the CHS Concert Choir. Our concert will be held Monday, December 8th at the R Iowa Barn Event Center located at 44244 STATE HWY 14 in Chariton. The concert begins at 7:00 PM.

Enjoy cookies, cocoa, and the wonderful sounds of the season. The audience will even be able to participate in singing carols led by the Concert Choir!
