Our ongoing congratulations to Coach Herner & the 21-22 Team!

The Chardon High School Academic Decathlon team has once again received some much deserved recognition. This time from the Ohio Senate and State Senator Sandra O'Brien. Over the summer, a resolution was passed honoring the 21-22 team and their accomplishments in the 2022 State competition!

Out of an abundance of gratitude, Chardon Local Schools was pleased to nominate Chardon Smile Center, Junction Auto Family, The Middlefield Banking Company, and Preston Superstore to the Ohio School Boards Association's Business Honor Roll 2022 this spring!

The District invited the four organizations to Chardon's May 16, 2022 regular board meeting for a presentation including appreciation certificates and trophies plus highlights on how each of the four organizations has gone above and beyond for our Hilltopper school community.

Our K-3 Counselor, Mrs. Erika Barnett, was awarded a grant from the Chardon Schools Foundation in Fall 2021 to fund Parent Resource Bags for families in need.

What is a Parent Resource Bag?
A Parent Resource Bag contains age-appropriate reading materials and craft materials and can be requested by students' parents/caregivers as a supportive resource when experiencing loss of a loved one, loss of a pet, grandparents raising grandkids, divorce/family changes, and big feelings such as anger, sadness and worry.

How do Families Access this Resource?
Our K-3 families can contact Mrs. Barnett at [email protected] at any time to request a 2-week loan of a resource bag(s).

A Night of One Acts and Talent

There will be two student-directed one acts and a variety of talent acts. Paige Nells is directing “13 Ways to Ruin Your College Interview” and Josie Aitken is directing “Snow White and the 47 Dwarves.”

Tickets will be sold for $5 at the door. Curtain up at 7pm!
