We have a lot of openings for our Mentor United Methodist Bed Build April 25, 2026! If you are interested in attending and helping us build 40 beds for the kids of Lake and Geauga counties, just sign up using the link below!

During this event you will help us build beds for the children of our communities who currently do not have their own bed in which to sleep.

We are looking for additional volunteers to help us build 45 beds at Marous Brothers this coming Saturday, September 27, 2025. If you are interesting in helping our kids get off the floor and into their own beds, just click on the link below to sign up and to let us know you'll be there. We have set a limit to the number of volunteers so don't wait.

We will provide everything you need! Just lend us your hands and learn how to build a bed!

This year we will build between 40-50 beds for the kids of Lake and Geauga Counties. We will provide all equipment, training and materials to get our beds built on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Thank you to the Veterans of Foreign Wars - Chardon for their donation of $2000 to our kids. This donation will buy 30 more mattresses for our kids and that means 30 more kids get to sleep on a soft mattress instead of the floor. This completely unexpected donation furthers our efforts to makes sure "No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!"

THANK YOU! To the Vererans of Foreign Wars of Ohio Charities - Chardon, for their unexpected gift of $2,000 for our kids! This gift will allow us to purchase nearly 30 mattresses! That means 30 more children will now be able to sleep on a soft mattress instead of the floor! We are deeply grateful for your support!

Is there any other organization, business of individual that would like to match or beat that amount? Why don't we see how much we can raise together as a community with the VFW as just the the start over the next 30 days?!

A super huge THANK YOU to the kids, parents and teachers of Riverview Elementary in Painesville who had a "Penny War" for us! They were able to collect nearly $6000 for our kids! They also provided us with nearly 100 sheet sets as well! We continue to be amazed at the outpouring of support for SHP from our communities. Everybody giving small amounts can (and does) make a huge difference.
