The Kiwanis Club of Bluffton proudly awarded ten $2,500 Sondra Ammeen Memorial Scholarships to outstanding local students during a special scholarship presentation held May 19, 2026, at Seaquins Ballroom. The annual scholarship program honors the memory and legacy of Sondra Ammeen and reflects the Kiwanis mission of supporting and investing in local youth and education. During the evening, club leadership, community members, and families gathered to celebrate the achievements, leadership, and academic success of students from schools across the Lowcountry. Robyn and Phil Kiser served as chairmen of the event, helping coordinate the evening’s scholarship presentation and recognition ceremony. Jeff Lake, President of the Bluffton Kiwanis Club, opened the evening alongside fellow club leaders and members. Wendy Barrett, Immediate Past President, shared the history and significance of the Sondra Ammeen Memorial Scholarships and the impact the program continues to have on students in the community.

8. Myla Greene — May River High School
9. Gabriella Lidey — May River High School
10. Andrew Morrissette — May River High School
