Welcome, Season of Creation. The Season of Creation is September 1 through October 4. The 2026 theme, “Living Water,” draws from Ezekiel’s vision of water bringing healing, renewal and new life to creation.

For the Sisters of Notre Dame, this connects deeply with our Water for Life Corporate Stance. We revere water as a sacred gift and are called to protect creation and work for a more just and sustainable world.

Several members of the Sisters of Notre Dame of the United States recently attended the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) 70th Anniversary Assembly in Orlando, Florida, gathering together with more than 1,300 representatives of women's religious congregations throughout the United States, Canada and the Americas. Following the theme, "Many Charisms, One Spirit, One Call," the event focused on synodality, or walking together through cross-cultural dialogue and reflection on contemporary social issues.

"The dire need of our time was availability of safe and clean water for drinking and cooking. This need of the people we serve compelled us to seek for ways of reaching out to God’s people in loving service."

SNDs in Kenya reflect on the blessings of clean water, thanks to the Hilton Fund for Sisters.
