Sister Kaitlin Morse, who recently professed her final vows as a Sister of Notre Dame, is passionate about helping young adults find purpose, build community and grow in faith. After discerning her own vocation, she now hopes to accompany others as they explore where God is calling them. She believes today's young people are searching for meaning and purpose.

Sister Joella Marie Ruffing brings the power of creativity to life through sculpture. Her plaster-cast work, 'Coesfeld Beginnings', portrays SND foundresses Hilligonda Wolbring and Elisabeth Kühling with child, "Agnes", honoring the love for children that inspired the Congregation. Today, Sister Joella shares that same creative spirit as a second-grade teacher in Delphos, Ohio.

October 12 is the Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, another Marian feast that is significant in California. This title of Mary recalls how she appeared to St. James in Spain in AD 40, before her death, and encouraged him to persevere in evangelizing. La Pilarica is also the name of the original California novitiate. Her pillar remains a powerful symbol of steadfast faith, courage, and God's faithfulness. May we, too, stand firm in hope and trust in the Lord.
