It's almost time to celebrate the Maple Festival, just in a new way this year!

Just because there's not an official Maple Festival this year doesn't mean you can't still enjoy some great fair food, items from local vendors, a drive-thru Farmers Market and of course all things maple including stirs! All this courtesy of Sage's Apples and Ransom Sage Farm - Chardon, Ohio! And be sure to check out the shops and restaurants around the Square that day too as they also celebrate maple madness with special vendors in and outside their businesses!

Have you been working on the golden Easter egg hunt? If not get the details at https://chardonchamber.com/events/golden-egg-easter-egg-hunt-easter-bunny-drive-by/. And look for the bunny April 3 as he drives around town. Thanks to Lucas Pest Management Co and Walmart for sponsoring these events!

The Easter Bunny will be riding through town April 3 from 9-11 am and handing out candy followed by a fire truck. The route includes Woods of Burlington (9:15); Burlington Oval (9:40); Fox Pointe (9:50); Chardon Park Estates (10:00); East of the Square Including North Hambden, South Hambden, E. King, Moffet , and Grants streets (10:10); The Square (10:15); Northeast of the Square including Allynd, Downing, Maple, Canfield, Chardon, and North streets (10:20); West of the Square including Court, Water, Center and Washington streets; Hidden Glen (10:40); South of the Square including Park Avenue and South Street (10:45 am.)
Please note that times may vary +/- 15-20 minutes.

With Easter just around the corner, the Chardon Square Association and Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for some fun Easter events including the Golden Easter Egg Hunt which starts Thursday. Then on April 3rd plan on seeing the Easter Bunny as he rides through Chardon handing out candy from 9-11 am. Watch for that route coming soon! Make plans to come to this fun event at the drive-in May 1st!

Mark your calendar for a fun nonprofit Fundraising Event occurring at the Mayfield Road Drive-In Theater, Chardon Ohio on May 1st.

The Improbable Players, Community Assessment (CATS), and My Recovery day are teaming up to put on this event to raise funds for prevention, recovery, and treatment services to combat Substance Use Disorder. It will be a night of a virtual performance, by Improbable Players, on the big drive-in movie screen, along with live music by Chrissy Strong and HooDoo, BBQ, great raffle items and concessions available to be purchased! This is a Covid-safe event where cars will be spaced out, so guests can bring a chair and sit in front of your vehicle, or stay inside their car as they wish.

The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the publication of a special tribute magazine, “A Common Heart...Uncommon Devotion,” saluting Chardon’s law enforcement and firefighting forces.

The brainchild of local writer Rose Nemunaitis, the magazine is filled with articles about important historical and present day figures in the safety community, notable events and first-hand accounts of how operations have changed throughout the years. Each article is accompanied by striking photographs, many donated from safety workers’ own personal collections.
