Chardon Sharks Swim Team

The Chardon Sharks Swim Team is located in Chardon, Ohio and is for swimmers 5-18 years old CLICK ABOVE TO SIGN UP! Practice will start Monday, June 5th.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! Ages: 4 - 18 Must be able to complete one length freestyle or backstroke. Date of First Practice: Monday June 5th
Times: Year Round Swimmers: (M-F) 7:00 am- 8:30 am or 8:30am - 9:30am
Newer Swimmers: (Monday-Thursday) 7:00pm to 7:45 pm

Our program is designed to provide the opportunity for young athletes to achieve their ul

timate potential through proper training in a positive, fun and healthy environment. The team competes in the Suburban Swim League (SSL) and comprised of the following teams: Eastlake, Euclid, Highland Hts., Mentor, Pinegate, South Euclid/Lyndhurst, Wickliffe, Willoughby and Willowick. Meets are held every Saturday morning starting June 17th and concluding with the Championship Meet the last weekend of July. The parent meeting for the Sharks will be held: Thursday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. at Chardon Pool. The summer schedule, practice and other information will be discussed at this time.

As we wrap up another incredible season, there's one more thank you we simply can't leave unsaid.

The Chardon Sharks are proud to call the City of Chardon, Ohio - Municipal Government home. As part of the City of Chardon Parks & Recreation Department, our swimmers have the opportunity to compete in the Suburban Swim League alongside nearly 1,000 athletes from communities across Northeast Ohio. This season, 125 Sharks represented our city with determination, sportsmanship, and pride.

To the City staff, Parks & Recreation team, leadership, and City Council—thank you for investing in a program that gives young athletes a place to grow, compete, and create lifelong memories. Your support helps make our pool more than just a place to swim - it's where confidence is built, friendships are formed, and our community comes together.

Congratulations to our Sharks on an unforgettable 2nd Place Division II finish! We can't wait to do it all again next season. Keep an eye out for 2027 registration this February—and let's see if we can bring home that first-place trophy!

From our team shirts to banners and signs around town, Kevin, Melissa, and their amazing staff help the Sharks look as strong out of the water as we do in it. Their continued support of our team—and so many local organizations—means the world to us.

The smiles said it all after our Chardon Sharks swam their way to a 2nd Place Division II finish at the SSL Championships!

Those moments are made even more special because of community partners like NDS Orthodontics. Dr. Gajda has been supporting the Sharks for years, and we're incredibly grateful for the continued generosity and belief in our team.

We were sad to miss Tara at her jaw-awesome studio on 5th Avenue in Chardon, but we definitely felt her support all season long as she helped keep the Chardon Sharks swimming strong!

At Elevate Athletic Club, Tara and her team have created an inclusive, welcoming space for every fitness level—from those just beginning their wellness journey to seasoned athletes looking to reach the next level.

We showed you where our Sharks get their donuts... now let's give a shout-out to the local businesses that help keep Donut Fridays rolling all season long for our 125 hungry swimmers! 🍩🦈

First up is the incredible team at Junction Auto Family! Serving our community since 1931, they welcomed our swimmers with open arms—and a few laughs—joking that one day they'd be back when it was time to buy their first cars.

From kickboards to car keys, we hope our Sharks remember the local businesses that believed in them long before they ever got behind the wheel. And when the day comes to trade swim lanes for driving lanes, we know just the place to start.
