SPAY & NEUTER IS THE ANSWER!

Every year, 3.2 million cats enter U.S. shelters.

That's about 8,700 cats a day. 362 an hour. One every ten seconds.

Of those, less than half leave with a family.

The rest age out. Get moved to rescue networks. Or don't make it.

This isn't a secret. It's just something most people don't have a reason to think about until a cat shows up on their porch or someone they love brings one home.

But the shelters know. The volunteers know. The staff who come in every morning and start the day knowing these numbers know.

Here's what shifts the math:

- Adoption over breeders
- Fostering, even just once
- Sharing posts from local shelters
- Spaying and neutering
- Helping a neighbor who's struggling to keep their cat

You don't need to fix 3.2 million. You just need to help one.

PLEASE READ, AND HELP!
My personal phone number is still connected to Anythings Pawsable.
People find it still online. With that being said, I receive calls often about emergency situations with dogs, and cats.

After years of being in rescue, I know the path in getting help, wherefore it can be difficult for most.
But the rescue that answers my call to help is now strapped with the overwhelming costs of actually rescueing the animals.
Vetting, feeding, transporting, all adds up, especially if they take on multiple dogs/ cats at a time like this case.

I am grateful that Amanda with Northern Star Dog Rescue answered the call and immediately drove the distance in getting the pups and mom.

The overpopulation pet crisis here in the US is real. Many of your local shelters and rescue organizations could definitely use programs like this one in Texas.

💔 17 Puppies. One Home. Nowhere Else to Go 💔
These 17 mixed breed puppies, just 6 weeks old, came from one home and had no choice in the life they were born into. Now they are here — scared, tired, and completely dependent on us to save them. They will grow to be medium to large dogs, and every single one deserves warmth, safety, and a family of their own.

Our shelter is overflowing, and the need never stops. For every puppy adopted, more arrive. These babies didn’t ask for this — but they are counting on us to not give up on them.

Please consider opening your heart and home. 💔🐾
