Memorial Day is a good day to learn about Sergeant Reckless if you don't know her story. We won't forget the sacrifices made from all of creation for our freedom.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, whose courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We also reflect on the legacy of Sergeant Reckless, the remarkable mare who served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Carrying ammunition into battle and bringing wounded soldiers to safety, she became a trusted and beloved companion to those around her. In recognition of her extraordinary courage, Sgt. Reckless was promoted to Staff Sergeant and awarded two Purple Hearts, along with numerous other military honors.

Today, we remember and honor every hero🇺🇸🐴

This morning I woke up to Brewster being stuck in the tack room. The smell was atrocious. He was in full panic mode when I opened the door. We have the most amazing volunteer in Cathy Singer! What a work horse she is! She put everything back in order in no time. I had been washing off everything that was covered in urine and manure. Cathy arrived and got the floor spotless. Now the tackroom is better than when it started!

What a great lookin' bunch! Our class!

Not all equine therapy certifications are created equal.

Some focus on activities. Some focus on riding. Some lack structure altogether. The Eagala Model is different: ground-based, no riding, co-facilitated by trained professionals, and built on ethics, structure, and global standards.

It is not about using horses as tools. It is about partnering with them in a process that creates real insight and change.
