It’s nearly Book Sale Week! Donate your gently used books, puzzles, dvds, cds, and video games for the Annual Friends of the Chappaqua Library Book Sale. Volunteers will be waiting by the theater entrance to accept your donations on Monday and Tuesday.

Come back to browse a wonderful selection of gently used fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, and more, all at affordable prices. Every purchase helps support library programs and services that enrich our community.

Congratulations to the winners of the 46th Annual Young Writers Contest sponsored by the Friends of the Chappaqua Library! With nearly 160 entries received in 2026, we celebrated all of our contest participants and announced the winning nonfiction, fiction, and poetry works at an award reception on April 9th held at the Chappaqua Library. Congratulations to the winners of our 45th Annual Young Writers Contest! We celebrated all of the students who participated with a reception in the Chappaqua Library Theater on Wednesday, giving out awards for First, Second and Third Prize in categories of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for both middle and high school. The winning works can all be read and enjoyed on our website!

Thank you to all of the librarians, library staff, and library friends who are meeting with New York State legislators today to discuss why funding libraries is so important in all of our communities.
