Leadership Logan’s third session focused on Healthcare, and it was an incredible day filled with insight, education, and meaningful conversation about the future of healthcare in our region. 🩺💙
The class heard from Jim Kaufman, President and CEO of the West Virginia Hospital Association, who spoke on workforce shortages, retaining highly qualified healthcare professionals, and the importance of collaboration to help strengthen and stabilize hospitals across West Virginia.
Participants also received hands-on training during an interactive “Stop the Bleed” workshop led by Brandie Davis Perry, Trauma Coordinator at Logan Regional Medical Center.
The day continued with discussions on emergency transportation and response from Roger Bryant, Executive Director of the Logan Emergency Ambulance Service Authority, and Justin Spence with Air Evac Lifeteam. 🚑
The session concluded with a healthcare panel moderated by Justin Turner, CEO of Logan Regional Medical Center, featuring:
