Chapin Woman's Club is more than just community service. While we take a break from meetings over the summer, our members stay busy planning an exciting year ahead.
We also take time to enjoy our summer, including a fun night at Segra Park to cheer on our local Fireflies baseball team. We love to make a difference in our community.

At the May 2026 meeting, new officers and eight new members were installed, past presidents were recognized, and our Woman of the Year (Theresa Woods) was honored.

On Saturday, May 9th, Chapin Woman’s Club hosted an unforgettable Butterfly Release that left our hearts (and the sky) feeling a little lighter. It was a beautiful day of remembrance, community, and a whole lot of wings.
We started the day right with a full breakfast, fueling up for a morning of celebration. Afterwards, the names of every individual being honored or remembered were read aloud, followed by the breathtaking mass release of over 250 butterflies.
More than 10 local vendors lined the park with unique butterfly-themed goods—there was truly something for everyone! Local musicians set the mood with music. Our talented face painter stayed busy all morning, turning the kids (and a few young-at-heart adults!) into colorful works of art.

GFWC-Chapin Woman’s Club was honored to be part of this valuable program.

As we conclude our final week of tutoring for the school year, we are proud to celebrate the success of our programs. This year, our after-school tutoring initiatives saw 306 students participate, resulting in more than 2,000 documented check-ins.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Ms. Kelsey Krenek and Ms. Lauren Desplinter for their exceptional leadership with both Tier 2 Tutoring and Evening Acceleration School. To honor their leadership, we presented both Ms. Krenek and Ms. Desplinter with the Golden Mug Award. This was generously donated by Canal Coffee. Canal Coffee Co.

Our programs have thrived thanks to vital community support, including the Chapin Woman's Club, which helped provide meals for our students during their tutoring sessions this year. We remain deeply grateful to our community partners and to Ms. Krenek and Ms. Desplinter for their commitment to ensuring every student has access to a seamless tutoring experience.

GFWC-Chapin Woman’s Club is so proud to announce that we have awarded scholarships to 7 incredible local girls from both Spring Hill and Chapin High School.

What makes our program special isn't just the financial support—it’s the connection. Each recipient is paired with a mentor from our club to provide guidance and support throughout their journey. This bond helps boost graduation rates and truly enriches the lives of both our members and these amazing students.
