The Newman Catholic Community is a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh ministering to students, faculty, and staff of UNC and alumni, families, friends, and visitors to Chapel Hill. Our mission is to invite people to encounter Jesus Christ and accompany them towards deeper discipleship and commitment to continue His mission in the world. It also shares information from our local partne

rs in ministry (such as area parishes, Habitat for Humanity, Durham Community Food Pantry, Orange County Justice United); from the wider Catholic Church (including the Holy See and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops); and from the wider Franciscan family. All posts reflect our firm commitment to the beliefs and practices of the Catholic faith.
