1789 Venture Lab

1789 Venture Lab 1789 is the central hub of innovation at UNC, powered by Innovate Carolina. We are 1789, a student entrepreneurship community in Chapel Hill.

Our mission is to serve and educate students and recent alumni who are starting and running their own businesses.

1789 is an integral part of Chapel Hill's entrepreneurial ecosystem. While Launch Chapel Hill nurtures more advanced ventures who are ready for funding, 1789 is all about scaling the impact of UNC's early stage, student-founded for-profit, non-profit and social entrepreneurial ventures. We are currently recruiting founders to work on their ventures at 1789 during the fall semester.
