UNC Children's Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Board

UNC Children's Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Board We are the parents & family whose children have received treatment at UNC Children's. We are here to support each other and the entire UNC Children's Community.

NC Children's Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Board is a group of patients and family members who have received care at NC Children's Hospital. We use our experiences to collaborate with hospital staff to enhance the care of all patients and family members. We volunteer our time participating in a variety of workgroups and committees, as well as participating in Parent to Parent Rounding where we provide support to those currently in the hospital.

During Volunteer Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to thank all of our members of the Patient and Family Advisory Board who give so much of their time for our patients and families. The Roadmap Project is a project the American Board of Pediatrics has funded to help support the mental health needs of chronically ill children and their caregivers. Here is a great article on the project and why this work is so important.
