Do you miss Joshua Chung's talk on masculinity and leadership from APIAutumn? Have no idea what we're talking about? Well, we have the event for you!

Model Minority but not Model Leader? (7-8pm TODAY in Peabody 218) will allow you to engage with a panel to explore the reasons why AAPI individuals are considered powerful in the workforce but do not have high ranking positions, especially how the Model Minority Myth has a hand in that status (gRoSs). We hope to see you there!

Wow, what an AMAZING event! Alex Muma, Tanas Gangadhar, Harrison Lee and Andrew Pham did a great job opening dialogue about the intersection between masculinity, beauty, and Asian/Asian-American identity.

Just a quick reminder for those who went that it is important to keep having those same conversations with one another and with those who didn't attend the workshop to look into ourselves and our inherent biases that can be addressed to lift up, rather than damage, our community!

Stay tuned, we're far from done. Next up is Reflections: An AAPI Art Exhibit that will be on April 4 from 6-8 pm in the Union (more info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/187185652010863/) featuring art from AAPI individuals painting (metaphorically, there is variation in style!) their campus experience for everyone to see! Hope to see you there!

A special thank you to Harrison Lee for providing these photos.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Opening Ceremony! It was extremely successful, in part due to those who chose to share their touching narratives and captivating performances! We hope to see everyone again at our following events!

The next event will be Re-Thinking Masculinity and Beauty, on April 2, 7:30pm in Hamilton 100. It's a workshop event made up of four mini workshops headed by four unique individuals that will ultimately aim to help participants explore the relationship between masculinity and beauty and how related issues affect Asian-American presentation. Mark your calendars!

Still on campus during this lovely spring holiday? Then come out to the APAHM Opening Ceremony TODAY (March 31) at 5pm at the Stone and Leaf Cafe!

This event features a speech from Joshua Chung and two performances from David Choi and "Work in Progress." There will also be an open mic so be sure to come out for a great time!
