Our program seeks to unite the entire African-American male community on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in an effort to raise awareness about the disproportionate number of minority youth in the juvenile justice system, while actively working to reduce recidivism rates. We believe that offering African-American, college-aged men as positive role models to the youth o

f our community will foster and nurture individual initiative and accountability, constructive relationships, and a movement of brotherhood to cause change. We feel that African-American male participation is essential so that the youth of our community can look towards their own for growth and development. Therefore, our aim is to encourage the African-American men of the campus of UNC CH, both faculty and student, to participate in our program and become positive catalysts for change.
