I hope you are doing well.

I am reaching out to invite your and peoeple with dliness or not s to attend the upcoming Inaugural Spring Kickoff hosted by the Triangle Blind Golfers Association on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hillandale Golf Course in Durham.

This event is a great opportunity for students to be introduced to the game of golf in an accessible and welcoming environment. Students are welcome to participate at their own comfort level—whether that means simply exploring and learning about the adaptive golf equipment, asking questions, or joining in the food and festivities with the community.

There is no expectation to play; the goal is to provide exposure, connection, and a fun, inclusive experience for everyone.

We would love to have your students join us and be part of this exciting kickoff event. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional details, please contact Mr Davis directly !

Thank you for your continued support and consideration.

Warm regards,

Dr. Timothy Miles, HPhd

🍂 A Thanksgiving Whisper to Friends 🍂

As autumn wraps the world in gold and flame,
I pause to speak your cherished name.
For every laugh, each moment shared,
For the love you gave, the ways you cared —
I give my thanks with humble grace,
For friendship’s light in every space.

May comfort find you, peace stay near,
May joy walk with you through the year.
Today and always, know it’s true —
My heart holds gratitude for you.

Happy Thanksgiving, dear friend. 🧡

🏘️ Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
• Cuts in the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) and Public & Indian Housing.
• Entire fair-housing enforcement teams — including the San Francisco regional office — reportedly received layoff notices.

➡️ 52.61% of all fair-housing complaints involve disability discrimination.
These layoffs threaten the very enforcement of the Fair Housing Act, leaving many without recourse.

🏥 Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
• Layoffs at SAMHSA and CDC emergency preparedness programs.
• Cuts endanger mental-health, addiction-recovery, and public-health safety efforts — including the 988 Su***de Prevention Hotline.

Why It Matters

These federal offices ensure that states, schools, and agencies follow the law and serve every community fairly.
Without them, millions could lose:
• Accessible housing and fair-housing enforcement.
• Special-education protections for children.
• Mental-health and substance-use supports.
• Emergency-preparedness and public-safety programs.

Take Immediate Action

Your voice is needed now to defend essential disability and housing programs.

📞 Call or email your Members of Congress and demand that they:
1. Restore funding and staffing to OSERS, HUD, and HHS programs.
2. Protect disability rights under IDEA, WIOA, the Rehabilitation Act, and the Fair Housing Act.
3. Invest in affordable, safe, and permanent housing for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.
