CX in Chapel Hill, this Sunday!
Hey everybody, here are some details for Briar Cross, Race 6 of the Cross Central NC Series.
The race is in the Park at Briar Chapel, on Andrews Store and Parker Herndon Rds in Pittsboro, just South of the Briar Chapel development (See flyer for address). Attached is a preliminary course map, though we don't expect it to change much before race day, if at all. The weather is looking great this week so it's likely to be fast and dry. With the majority of the course on grass, y'all better get those file treads ready!
This is our first time holding a race here and the Chatham County Parks Department has been great to work with. We are really hopeful that we've built a strong relationship with them so we ask that you please please respect the park and the posted rules so we can use this venue for many years to come. The park is open from 8am-8pm, even on race day, so plan accordingly. If you want to check out the park during the week please be respectful and mindful of other park users, and please do not ride on the athletic fields, bikes are strictly prohibited from being on them.
We are also excited to announce that the Breakaway Cafe (http://breakawaync.co) will have food and beverages available for purchase on race day so please show them some support! They're a cycling themed restaurant and cafe located less than a mile from the park, so if you can't grab anything at the race be sure to stop in on your way home and support a great local business.
Also a big thank you to Par Cycles for the continued support, and to Infinit Nutrition and Alto Cycling as well.
Saturday's race is in Efland, so we're looking at a great double-header weekend at two new race venues, hope to see you all out there supporting local racing this weekend! 🚴🏼🚴🏼♀️
