Applications are open for our 2026 Amplifying Native Voices in North Carolina Teacher Institute! After a brief hiatus, this year's Institute will take place this spring from April 8th to April 11th at The Museum of the Southeast American Indian. If you are a K-12 Teacher in North Carolina and interested in learning more about how to better incorporate Indigenous voices and experiences in your classroom, please consider applying.
In addition to valuable content and experiences, participants will receive a $400 stipend, meals, and lodging during the Institute, and Continuing Education Credits.

We are also currently working to raise funds for building a new museum space in Tahcabo for their community museum. Call for Volunteers! Are you interested in participating in a collaborative archaeology project? Consider taking part in a portion of this 7-week field season of the Fulbright-Hays and Wenner-Gren funded project: “Engaging Indigenous Perspectives to Investigate Trans-Temporal Uses of Space and Religious Architecture in Yucatán.” The field season will take place from January 27th-March 14th and will include housing, meals, and daily transportation to and from the site!
