Fluff Responders is an all-volunteer and foster-based cat/kitten rescue. We do not have a facility--all of our animals are placed in foster homes until they are adopted. While we post on this page our currently available cats and kittens can be found on Petfinder at: nc1149.petfinder.com

We were founded by first responders and their friends and are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are 100% vo

lunteer-based and rely on donations from good humans like yourselves to help. Our Venmo handle is (please include your name and address if you would like a receipt for tax purposes) or you can use a card at https://checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/FLUF. With donations, we are able to provide cats and kittens with medical care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, and socialization to get them ready for their forever homes and much more! We also do TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, and return) for community cats and feral moms that raise their kittens in one of our foster homes until the kittens are weaned. If you need assistance or have questions on neonatal kitten or kitty care, please contact us. If we cannot help you, we will direct you to the proper resource. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Fluff Responders Animal Rescue. Despite our best efforts, we have faced a significant shortage of time, donations, fosters, adopters, and volunteers over the past year. We have done our utmost to keep things running, but it became too much to manage with full time jobs and family obligations. We want to thank all of our wonderful donors, fosters, and adopters who have been on this journey with us—there is no way that we could have helped over 200 cats and kittens without you.

We each remain committed to animal welfare and will be connecting with other rescues to continue supporting our furry friends however we can.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we wind down what has truly been a labor of love. In the coming weeks, we will post some of our memorable rescue stories that highlight the joy and love we've shared.

She enjoys her days watching birds, snuggling, and chasing her favorite toys. She’s easy going and gets along well with other pets. She also does well on her own! One of our very loved adopted fluffs is missing. Help us bring Bodhi home. Please share the word and keep an eye out if you live in the area! 1 yr old neutered tuxedo cat. Last seen on Friday, August 11 at Jones Ferry and Lake Ct in Chapel Hill. His collar fell off but he is micro-chipped. Please call Lisa: 415-509-0158 or Jonny: 415-933-5276

What a journey these two have had! 🥹 It gives us great pleasure to open applications for Oscar and Felix! If you are looking for kitties to sit on your lap and stare lovingly into your eyes (between kitten pouncing sessions), these are your boys. These brothers were orphaned, found on a sidewalk at 3 days old. Saved by a caring woman, who bottle fed them around the clock, until she was unexpectedly hospitalized. It’s taken a village to continue their care. It’s as if these brothers know how many care for them as they gaze into your eyes and just want to be loved! We know their purfect hoomans are out there.
