Calling all teens! Join NCWF Tri-County Conservationists Chapter and RewildNC for an invasive removal and venturing crew recruiting event. The Tri-County Conservationists are launching a new program to engage conservation-minded youth ages 14-20 in partnership with Scouting America. Interested youth will come together to plan conservation events, like invasive removals, under the name Venturing Crew3. This is their first event! Volunteers will help save trees by removing invasive Chinese wisteria. This event is open to all ages, but we would love to see the next generation of conservationists turn out in full force!

When: Sunday, April 12th from 2 PM - 4 PM
Location: Headwaters Preserve, Chapel Hill

🌿Reminder!🌱

Join NCWF Tri-County Conservationists Chapter this Saturday for a Rewilding Oases workday at Brumley! Native species and habitats in Brumley Nature Preserve have been pushed out by invasive species like privet, multiflora rose, and autumn olive. Walnut Grove Loop is a lovely area of Brumley South, shaded by many large native trees. Most of the big invasives have been removed (especially privet). Now we are establishing Rewilding Oases, where volunteers will focus their efforts on restoring native species. At this event, we will erect fencing. Help us restore habitat for wildlife in Chapel Hill!

Date/Time: Saturday, November 15th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Brumley South (parking details can be found in the sign up below)
