WHAT IS RAPID PROMPTING METHOD?
Rapid Prompting Method is a TEACHING and EDUCATIONAL method with specific SENSORY and SPELLING STRATEGIES that lead to COMMUNICATION. IN this presentation we will discuss:
· Background of RPM
· What is PRESUMING COMPETENCE?
· Who can benefit from RPM?
· Why RPM works for individuals for whom traditional speech therapy or AAC methods have not achieved a means of communication
· How you can integrate RPM into your existing therapies and independently on your own using free resources.

Participant Requirements:

· This is for individuals who have no to little knowledge about RPM and wish to understand more deeply the fundamentals

· This is an INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION, so we ask that all participants keep their cameras on to have a discussion

Happy to return home after an amazing weekend in Austin, TX. The 2025 IV International SOMA RPM Conference was absolutely amazing and probably the best I’ve ever attended! I was so honored to be invited to be a speaker and present my online international RPM book club educating others about Soma’s 9 books. After years of endless therapies it was RPM that finally provided my Ryan (at age 14) with the sensory and cognitive spells to fully his express his intellect and personality. From being stuck at a 1st grade curriculum to doing college level calculus, writing poetry and creating his own future life goals (now 23 this week!)… and we’ve only just begun!! Loved seeing all my RPM family! An amazing video made by the amazing SOMA RPM Team - Flaviana and Fabiana!

Great RPM resources! While a beginner does not need all of these; the initial phase and items listed are super helpful! With free/purchased lessons online we always recommend you first reading and practicing your own adapted version (age-appropriate and making it conversational) before doing with your child. Thanks RPM Connections!

We haven't been posting regularly as I have been so busy with multiple projects! Excited to be sharing more poetry by a few of my student clients. This one by "S" is age 12 when we discussed how weather affects her mood.

Looming stars
clouds shadow
follow me,
with my tomorrows.
Never alone
Winds hug me
I hope for snow,
white like ice cream.
