COMING SOON: San Diego favorite Phil’s BBQ is reportedly opening its first Arizona location in Chandler 👀🔥

The popular BBQ spot known for their mesquite grilled ribs, onion rings, and huge sandwiches is expected to take over the old Abuelo’s building near Chandler Fashion Center.
Phil’s BBQ has built a massive following in San Diego over the years and this would be a major addition to the East Valley food scene.

UPDATE: Ted’s Hot Dogs is getting very close to opening their new Chandler location on the northwest corner of Gilbert Rd and Germann Rd 🌭🔥 The new design looks sharp and modern and will feature a drive-thru, indoor seating, outdoor patio seating, and a pickup window.

They are also currently hiring as the location gets closer to opening. This might end up being one of the best looking fast casual buildings in the area 👀

OPINION: is officially closed 👀
The indoor sports and entertainment venue shut down less than two years after opening, which caught a lot of people by surprise — especially considering it had solid online reviews.

Even with a strong product and positive feedback, the business still ended up closing, which shows how many factors go into making a concept work.

COMING SOON: is officially headed to Chandler and will be opening inside the old Z’Tejas building right off Ray Rd and the 10.

This will be their 7th location in Arizona, and it’s a big win for this side of Chandler. That corner has been sitting quiet for a while, so seeing a heavy hitter like North Italia move in is a huge upgrade.

Expect scratch-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas, craft cocktails, and that polished modern Italian vibe they’re known for 🍷

We all know Z’Tejas has officially closed at 7221 W Ray Rd.
The original Chandler location opened back in 2001 and was a staple for nearly 24 years before shutting its doors in spring/summer 2025, as the brand closed all remaining Arizona and Texas locations.

Now the real question 👇

UPDATE: is officially still on the way, with the latest timeline pointing to an early spring 2026 opening 🌸

This highly anticipated market will bring:
