This weekend we had the opportunity to meet with Samwell, the recipient of the green Mapex drum kit from last week’s delivery out in Buckeye. He was so appreciative and such a nice kid. He’s only been playing for a couple of months and he already has some basic beats mastered! Way to go, Samwell! A special thank you goes out to Shayne at Deaf and Drum for supplying a Drum Buddy Mini for this drum kit and the Phoenix Area Drummers for their support with donations.

On Wednesday last week, BtBB took a long trip out to Estrella Vista Elementary School and delivered several instruments to supply a music teacher’s new classroom which had very little for her students. The instruments included two full drum kits (one for her classroom and one for an individual student), an additional hi hat set for her previous classroom, an electric guitar, a bass guitar, two amplifiers, and a bass cabinet. Additional items delivered but not pictured include; two cowbells, one vintage practice pad, one ukulele, one pair of bongos, several music stands, individual xylophone bars, a bell tree, almost two dozen pairs of drum sticks, and a whole lot of happiness! The incoming students will have a full assortment of instruments to play to help develop their rhythm and musical knowledge, and of course, have a ton of fun along the way!

On May 7, 2026, Bring the Beat Back delivered two drum kits to the Alice Cooper Solid Rock Teen Center in Mesa for our new friends Hayden and Cooper. We hope they will enjoy them for many years to come!

We were recently contacted by a very nice family who wanted to make a donation of two drum sets, gig bags, and small cases to BtBB in honor of a family member who sadly passed away. My first thought was to contact Solid Rock Teen Centers to see about getting these kits into lesson/rehearsal rooms at one of their locations. We are happy to announce we’re in contact with their Community Director and we should be able to get these kits back in service soon so underprivileged teens can experience the joy of playing music. The beat goes on…🎶🥁👍🏻

Check out this little kit! This is a four piece Ddrum D2R kit made from 6 ply basswood. The wrap is called “lime sparkle”, but I prefer to think of it as Mountain Dew green. This kit is being given to a member of the Phoenix Area Drummers who will then supply it to a needy family with a young female drummer who needs a drum kit. Her favorite color is green so we think this will work well! The drums are outfitted with new Evans EC2 batter heads and G1 reso heads. The snare drum features a UV1 batter head from Evans. Included in this community give back are a new pair of Promark sticks and an Evans drum key. A big thank you goes out to D’Addario for donating these materials for this project! As always, we also want to thank members of the Phoenix music community for donating this drum kit to BtBB to make these community give backs a reality! Rock on! 🤘🏻🎶🥁👍🏻
