🌍🚦 Learning Today, Protecting Tomorrow!

On August 4, 2026, Acumen Haven successfully organized the fourth Sarak Sathi workshop at Dhanmondi Kochi Kantha School in Dhaka.

Approximately 40 students from Grades 4–6 explored the connections among road safety, climate action, and environmental responsibility through animated videos, interactive games, guided discussions, and quizzes. They learned about:

✅ Traffic rules and safe road-crossing practices
✅ Weather, climate change, and global warming
✅ Walking and cycling to reduce carbon footprints
✅ Reducing traffic congestion, fuel use, and emissions
✅ Proper waste disposal to prevent blocked drains and waterlogging

We sincerely thank the school’s teacher sand principals of the Dhanmondi Kachi Kantha School, our dedicated fellows and volunteers, Work for a Better Bangladesh (WBB Trust), Transport Professionals Foundation, Bangladesh , Kazi’s Corporate Grooming, REDCON, Transportation Engineering Club,UAP, University of Asia Pacific, and everyone who helped make this workshop meaningful and enjoyable.

We are also delighted that the workshop was featured by Jago News:

🌡️ Cohort 1 of High School Research Training Fellowship just wrapped — and our high school fellows found a bus stop in Phoenix with zero shade, in 100+ degrees Fahrenheit heat.

High school researchers spent weeks mapping urban heat risk in Maryvale and proposed real fixes, like community gardens to cool the hottest blocks. Their research is now headed toward an academic paper to help protect this community.

Nervous teens in. Confident young researchers out. That's Acumen Haven. 💚

🌱 What a day at the Coolidge Public Library!

Local kids ages 6–12 became Climate Detectives today. They felt how dark surfaces trap heat, explored a real satellite heat map of their own neighborhood, redesigned it with trees to cool the hottest spots, and planted microgreens to take home and grow.
Thank you to the Coolidge Public Library for hosting, and to every family who joined us! 💚

📚 Parents & teachers: we bring these free climate science workshops right into AZ classrooms. Learn more at acumenhaven.com.
