Another rewarding week of "Service Above Self" in Rotary as we gave out over $30,000 this morning to local non-profits.

Rotary's Core Values include Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity and Leadership. The collective leadership and expertise of our 1.2 million members helps us tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges, locally and globally.

Rotary Vocational Moment:

I was honored by The Arizona Court Reporters Association to be the 2026 recipient of the "Award For Distinguished Service To The Profession." 

I shared that ALL of my "algorithm" for enjoying servant leadership has come solely from 2 sources:  

My Faith and Rotary. 

 I am deeply grateful for Rotary and my fellow Rotarians and the journey that we've taken locally and internationally together.

The daily selflessness, diligence, structure, and camaraderie mold us to serve others and grow as a person and leader.

Think of who you know that would benefit from this beautiful gift and have them join us at Rotary. It will change their life.

So, next time you ask yourself or hear a fellow Rotarian ask:
"What's Rotary's plan for the future?" The answer is:  "You. You're the plan."

As World Immunization Week begins, we celebrate the power of vaccines to protect children, prevent disease, and keep communities healthy. This week, 24 to 30 April, is also a time to recognize the dedicated people who make immunization possible.

Rotary supports programs that equip community health workers to deliver vaccines and connect communities to care. In Pakistan, thousands of these essential workers travel long distances to vaccinate children and support environmental surveillance efforts, reaching even the most remote and vulnerable people.

These efforts have achieved remarkable progress. Since 1988, Rotary and our partners in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative have reduced polio cases worldwide by more than 99.9%. Our members support vaccination programs that protect against polio, measles, and other life-threatening diseases. Immunization remains one of the most effective tools to protect children and keep communities healthy.

During World Immunization Week, you can help sustain these efforts by:
-Donating to support our work to eradicate polio and prevent other diseases
-Fundraising through Raise for Rotary
-Exploring other ways to raise funds for the PolioPlus Fund

Together, we can support the people who are delivering vaccines, strengthening communities, and moving us all closer to a world free of polio and other preventable diseases.

Fifty years ago, the first Earth Day was held on 22 April, 1970, launching a wave of action to protect our environment, including the passage of landmark environmental laws in the United States. Other countries soon followed suit. Every year since, the day has been set aside to focus on mobilizing for action to protect our planet.

As people of action, Rotarians have been shaping the conversation on the environment for years, from addressing climate change that threatens entire food systems to fighting pollution that clogs our air and water. Rotarians are well-suited for the challenge. They use their connections to find creative solutions and take action to safeguard our vital resources.

Another outstanding effort by our sponsors, players, supporters, and friends, as we knocked the 33rd Annual Chandler Rotary Classic Golf Event out of the park. Some great raffle prizes were won, lots of laughs were had, and in addition to golf checks, five balls made it into the 50/50 ball-drop hole, winning 5 golfers $593 each.
All other numbers are being tallied, so stay tuned!
