25 years ago, Father John Hall saw something simple but powerful, families in our community were hungry, and the church could do something about it.🧡🍽

In 2001, he opened what is now Matthew's Crossing Food Bank with only 3 volunteers and a lot of faith. What was initially a simple act of obedience has expanded into something remarkable.

Today, Matthew's Crossing serves over 124,000 neighbors in need every single year. From 800 people in year one to thousands every month, all because one person said yes.✨

Father John Matthew didn't just start a food bank. He planted a seed of compassion that an entire community continues to water. 🌱

A Pop-Up Mobile Marketplace is a community food distribution event that allows Matthew's Crossing to meet families where they are. Instead of asking neighbors to travel to us, we bring nutritious food directly into the communities we serve.🥫🗺️

Through these events, families can access fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, protein, rice, beans, and other essential groceries close to home. ✨

This year alone, we've hosted Pop-Up Mobile Marketplaces at schools and community centers throughout Chandler, Gilbert, and Guadalupe, helping make healthy food more accessible for local families.🍎🥕🧀

Food assistance is more than food creates relief, dignity, and breathing room. Food assistance is MORE than food.
Sometimes it’s relief. Sometimes it’s dignity. Sometimes it’s the first deep breath a parent has taken in weeks because, for today, at least one impossible choice has been lifted.

This past week, our wonderful partners at Greenhouse Gardens donated fresh carrots and zucchinis to Matthew's Crossing.🥕🥒

This is what community looks like: growing healthy food and ensuring it reaches those who need it most. We couldn't do it without partners like this. 💖💞
