By now folks know Jimmy Buffett died recently and he died of Merkel cell carcinoma...the rarest skin cancer. This is a pretty good article about it, long and has ads for various products throughout, but it does have a few pictures. Though it's "rare" a few 1000 people are diagnosed and die every year in the USA alone. Everything "rare" involves real people. Us. You. Your skin is on top of you so you stay on top of it and keep all suspicious places checked out and pathed if needed. Especially if you notice a change or something new. NO skin cancers have a definitive "this is it" look...there are anomalies. They can ALL spread internally. ALL are deadly. And it's a cancer and that means it can't look at a person's age or ethnicity...anybody with skin and a body...and that's 100% of the entire world...can get a melanoma (my cancer), basal cell, squamous cell, or Merkel cell diagnosis and you'll have to deal with it the rest of your life no matter what stage. Learn about the various skin cancers and apply it to yourself. Oh, and all those skin tag removal products out there...do NOT buy/use any of them. I don't care if they are FDA approved...that skin tag really may be nothing more than that, BUT, it can also be cancerous. See your dermatologist and let them inspect it to be sure.
