Yesterday we did a THING y’all… and when I say God showed up, HE SHOWED UP! 🙌🏽💛
Our Open Hands, Open Hearts Community Outreach served and assisted over 200 people in our community yesterday. Two hundred lives touched with love, dignity, resources, and kindness. That alone makes my heart smile in ways words can’t fully explain.
None of this happens without the village that stands beside this mission. A special thank you to Stardust Building Supplies, Gervonni Cares, Inc., and Assistory Outreach Services for providing items and support that helped make this outreach possible. When nonprofits come together with one heart and one purpose, real change happens.
Every single event reminds me why we do this work. Helping people, loving on our community, and reminding folks that they matter will forever be worth it.
Now let me talk about MY PEOPLE, because baby… I could never do this alone.
To my sister Layla Maxwell , thank you for always standing beside me, in front of me, behind me, and walking with me through every event so I’m never alone. Your loyalty, love, and protection mean more to me than you know. I truly believe my baby in heaven is smiling down knowing you always have my back.
To my sister Delanna Howard and my niece, thank you for showing up when your time allows. I’m always so grateful for the love you bring, and the fact that you pull up with your village too. That kind of support is priceless.
Maria, thank you and your daughter for coming out. I absolutely LOVE when the kids get to experience opportunities like this. Watching the next generation learn compassion and service makes my heart happy.
And to Wally, my neighbor, who has been rocking with me for the last few months gearing up for this event — from heavy lifting, folding clothes, unpacking pallets, boxing things up, unpacking bags, and all the “what else needs to be done?” moments — you truly showed up. I’m beyond grateful for your time and help.
To everyone who volunteered, donated, prayed, supported, and encouraged this mission… THANK YOU. You gave your time, your heart, and your love, and that means everything.
I truly believe my baby is in heaven looking down saying,
“Look at my people doing the Lord’s work.” 🕊️💛
We’re just out here with open hands and open hearts, doing what God called us to do… and sometimes looking like a holy warehouse crew while doing it. 😅

And I want to give a very special thank you to Eugene from City Buzz Radio for stepping in with a last-minute blessing. When we realized we didn’t have much clothing for the men coming through the outreach, Eugene donated clothing right on time to make sure the men were taken care of. That right there is what community looks like — seeing a need and answering the call. I truly appreciate you for stepping up and supporting this mission. 🙏🏽💛
