✨ A Historic Honor at the International Women Celebration ✨
This year marked a truly special moment as we presented the inaugural IWC Legacy Luminary Award to our Title Sponsor and Inspirational Speaker, Michael Pollack — a surprise tribute to recognize the extraordinary legacy he has built in our community.
This prestigious award was created by renowned Vietnamese American master sculptor and humanitarian Daniel K. Winn. The striking sculpture features a transparent hand rising from a dark base, holding a magnifying lens that encapsulates a vibrant blue butterfly.
The design carries a profound meaning. Just as a butterfly begins small and undergoes a remarkable transformation, the recipient’s generosity grows into a powerful force for good — creating lasting change that reaches far beyond its beginnings. The butterfly symbolizes the beauty of a legacy that continues to uplift lives, while the strong lucite hand represents the strength and vision required to build that legacy.
Through this artwork, the hand cradling the lens reminds us that humanity has the power to focus on, protect, and magnify the beauty of compassion and charity.
For decades, Michael Pollack has exemplified that spirit. Through his leadership, philanthropy, and unwavering support for community initiatives, he has created pathways of opportunity and empowerment — including his meaningful support of the International Women Celebration, helping us illuminate women’s voices, leadership, and impact across cultures.
It was our great honor to present the very first IWC Legacy Luminary Award to Michael Pollack, recognizing a legacy that continues to inspire, uplift, and make the world a better place.
With deep gratitude to Sir Daniel K. Winn for creating this extraordinary work of art, and heartfelt appreciation to Michael Pollack for the light he continues to shine in our community.
