The mission of the OAD Archives, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, is to honor the past, celebrate the present, and encourage the future of creative organic architecture and design through education, endorsement, and promotion. Our primary means of achieving this goal is through the publication of the Journal of Organic Architecture + Design and to actively advocate for the acquisition, retentio

n, preservation and conservation of the archives of design professionals whose work is/was based upon the philosophy of organic architecture and design. Our shared passion for furthering the education, appreciation, and preservation of archival materials associated with organic architecture and design was the impetus behind forming OAD Archives, Inc. Our combined archival collections have saved thousands of pieces related to a wide range of organic architects and designers. Every year, more and more materials are lost due to neglect or the lack of institutional interest for taking them on. In order to save these works, we need your help. Purchases of the Journal of Organic Architecture + Design help to support the ongoing acquisition of organic architecture and design-related archival materials and their preservation. If you have any drawings, artwork, blueprints, photographs, slides, publications, ephemera, correspondence, project files, or any other materials related to organic architecture and design, please contact us for our help in securing them for future study and appreciation for generations to come.

An Ocatilla Evening.
Tickets Now On Sale.Join the Organic Architecture + Design Archives on Friday, November 6, 2026, for An Ocatilla Evening, OA+D’s annual fundraising celebration and an unforgettable evening devoted to Frank Lloyd Wright’s remarkable lost desert masterpiece.

Hosted at the Chandler Museum, this special event will invite guests to experience Ocatilla: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Lost Desert Masterpiece in a festive and intimate setting. We just gave a 3 hour tour to Texan Landscape Architect Kent Mendenhall and family at Taliesin West who might be joining OA&D in the near future. A great thank you to the Foundation for allowing Jochen to give a extended behind the scenes tour and to our security guard/guide Spencer, with his in depth knowledge of the site.
