Tzu Chi Phoenix Service Center 慈濟鳳凰城 Charity:

• Provides vegetarian groceries to qualified families
• Provides hot meals to needy individuals in Tempe Escalante Park (Every Thursday at 6 p.m.)

Medical:

Provides free general health and dental checkup services twice a year (February and October)


Children Education:

Aims to prepare children to be pillars of family and society by cultivating their individual innate, humanistic qualities while developing their awareness and appreciation of other cultures. Our class curriculum teaches children:
• Chinese Language – written and spoken
• Et

iquette & Civil Behavior
• Filial Piety – the dutiful respect and relationships between children, parents, and family
• Gratitude & Appreciation
• Frugality – living prudently, conservatively, and without waste
• Recycling & Environmental Respect – appreciation and care for the Earth and all its natural resources
• Asian Tea Ceremony & Flower Arrangement
• Tzu Chi’s Sign Language – an art-form of music with voice and beautiful hand gestures


慈濟鳳凰城兒童精進班成立以來，除了讓孩子學習中文，老師們將證嚴法師的智慧語錄， 用生動活潑的方式，讓孩子們認識中華文化，學習正確的人生價值與人文品格。其辦學目標是培養兒童的人格特質，以適合家庭及社會的完美發展；開拓學生的心胸及視野，以培養寬廣的思考及氣度。

兒童精進班每星期上課時數三小時， 除了兩小時的中文課程， 並有一小時的人文課程 - 靜思語教學。人文課程包括： 生活禮儀、孝順、知足感恩、惜福、環保、茶道、花道、心素食儀、手語等。
