My Hair Is Beautiful is a program designed for girls 8-18 years old. My Hair is Beeyoutiful “Natural Hair We Care Summer Camp” Summer Camp is not just a beauty workshop. It is a hands-on mentored experience designed to teach participants essential healthy hair scalp education and proper braiding practices, along with the importance of self-expression, cultural appreciation, and entrepreneurial skills in the beauty industry.

Our mission is to create a safe and uplifting environment where young girls can:

• Learn foundational and advanced braiding, twisting & barbering techniques
• Build confidence through creativity and self-expression
• Gain knowledge about natural hair care and maintenance
• Explore career opportunities within the beauty industry
• Connect with mentors who reflect excellence, leadership, and purpose

My Hair is Beeyoutiful org is a self esteem builder at it’s core. We aim to care for the whole child. We have conversations about social norms in order to understand the importance of knowing the world and how to make good decisions in life by building skill set, integrity, accountability, confidence & honor.

Both Terrence & Myself are happily circumstantial Single parents he is raising 3 daughters and I have raised 2 daughters and 1 son. So we both have the task of raising mental health and social skills that aid in there development. And what we want for ours we want for your children.

This is an oldie but goodie of our humble beginnings of
When I started MHiB.

I started MHiB in 2011 because our black girls in Arizona didn’t see themselves in the schools they were attending. My clients & myself saw that our girls were becoming shrinking violets in the areas of complexion, hair texture/style, body shape and more… so I began to give self-esteem workshops for my clients girls to create a safe space for them to meet one another and share their stories while also being mentored by black women in their communities in all different careers to build confidence and also to inspire the girls to follow their dreams, build careers for themselves and to empower them to love themselves by what they see in the mirror. I started these initiative humbly from my own pocket.

These are our core values so in every event given we incorporate a way to Inspire, Empower & Educate our youth to love themselves by what they see in the mirror.

has grown to a 501(c)3 and through the generosity of the African American Women’s Giving Foundation by awarding us our first grant we began to form the infrastructure of Education.

My hearts desire was to build a Natural Hair We Care Training Camp for our youth that have aspirations of becoming a Natural Hairstylist or to learn how to style their curly/coily textured hair properly.

Our Community answered the call through donations and support. We are here now then another thought what about the boys/girls who my want to become barbers? So I met a few years ago back and through conversations of community and our commitment to our youth came alignment so we started a collaboration with his company BEE YOU! Terrence is “Never Not Buzzing”

Terrence is A proud father raising his 3 daughters. The owner of and of course Bee You an umbrella company of all this apparel, self-care, fitness under the core values of integrity, intention, responsibility,community,respect & healthy hair care products.

We would love to have available for our Natural Hair We Care Hands On youth Summer Camp starting June 9th 2026. Where we will be teaching our students about the science of the hair so they can will know their hair grows from there scalp in order for them to understand & love their hair texture & curls. We will then teach our students their hair care skills & techniques on properly Detangling, parting,braiding,twisting & styling their own hair and others.
We are looking for sponsorship for our kits..

Shalome is the owner and founder of Forever Jewelry. She started her jewelry business last year at the age of eleven. It began at an event with many jewelry businesses. She was inspired to start one of her own. Shalome is a MHIB alumni since she was just 5 years old. Her parents are also entrepreneurs and she was exposed to a lifelong understanding of perseverance and hard work. Shalome is living up her name; ‘universal peace, flourishing, wholeness and delight’. Her parents are very proud.

My full name is Afiniki, but I go by Afi or Afi Like Taffy. I was born in West Africa, Nigeria, raised in North London, Highgate & live in AZ with my American Hubby of 16 years.

I'm the CEO of Afi Like Taffy, a Style & Wardrobe Consulting Business based in Scottsdale, a Digital Creator for Afi Like Taffy handler. I own a closet organization business with 2 partners & I product co-ordinate for So Scottsdale magazine!

Mainly I help people dress for their higher selves, help them figure out their personal style & look & feel their best selves. I also save them time by shopping & styling outfits curating a one-of-a kind experience.
