Neuroregeneration is the regrowth or repair of nervous tissue.
In simple terms, it's the body's ability to rebuild damaged nerves—the very cells that carry signals between your brain and the rest of your body.
After a spinal cord injury, these pathways can be disrupted. That's why neuroregeneration is a major focus in SCI research. Scientists are studying ways to encourage nerve cells to heal, reconnect, and restore function.
The progress is real. While there's no simple cure yet, researchers are making meaningful strides in understanding how nerves can repair themselves—and how we might help that process along.
Knowledge is power, and hope grows with every breakthrough. 💙
