Hi Sketch Club friends!👋🏽 TOMORROW we’re hosting a Floral Sketching Workshop at the Museum!🌷💐This First Friday is extra special as the museum highlights Florentine Baroque: The Haukohl Collection; “more than 30 examples of painting, sculpture, and decorative arts drawn from the most important Florentine Baroque art collection outside of Italy, assembled over more than 40 years by Houston-based art collector and co-founder of the Medici Archive Project Sir Mark Fehrs Haukohl.”.

In celebration of this beautiful exhibition, we’ll be sketching specially curated floral arrangements by 🌹🌼🌻
The Museum will also be offering incredible Baroque-inspired activities:
✨ Figure drawing with live Arizona Renaissance Fair models
✨ Blended-language tours
✨ Design your own Baroque gold frame
✨ Failed poetry open mic
This event is free entry, bring your friends and family, and come experience the richness of Baroque art with us! 🇮🇹🌹✨

Earlier this month, we had the lovely opportunity to spend time in the Muscle Memory: Lens on the Body exhibit at the Museum! We hosted an anatomy sketching workshop where our community reflected on incredible photography, gathering inspiration, deepening appreciation, and exploring the human form. They say a photo is worth a thousand words, and through sketching, we translated those images into intentional lines, rich shadows, and a sense of movement. This exhibition is both beautiful and moving, we highly recommend experiencing it and taking time to appreciate the photographers’ work! 📸✨
