🎄🎄 Christmas Season Raffle 🎄🎄
The Deal Island-Chance Lions Club will be conducting its 7th Annual Daily Christmas Season Raffle from Thanksgiving Day through New Year's Day!!
Money raised will be spent on Christmas in Deal Island! All widows/widowers in our community will receive a ham & fruit basket. A good behavior/attendance incentive will be sponsored for the students of Deal Island School during the month of December. The Christmas Lights Contest will be sponsored with bus transportation, fun activities and dinner provided to our 5th grade judges. Santa Assistance will be provided to families in need - and Santa🎅doesn’t forget about our seniors! Island Christmas will receive $2,000 in funding. The Lions Club will sponsor a $500 day on the calendar. And once again, the Senior Fund will receive $3,000!!!
Calendar donors will be able to reserve and purchase tickets ($10 each) in advance of the general public. If you commit to donate $50-$99, you will be able to reserve up to two tickets; if you commit to donate $100+, you will be able to reserve up to five tickets; $500+, you will be able to reserve up to ten tickets (5 p/p applies). 1000 tickets will be sold.
Donations to the calendar are being sought. We are again hoping to have a donation of at least $50 on the calendar for each day from Thanksgiving Day to New Year's Day with more generous days listed throughout as well. If you cannot sponsor a day by yourself, we will happily combine your donation with that of someone else. Donations can be cash, gift cards, gift baskets, seafood, general items, etc. Donations of all sizes and shapes are welcome, we only ask that they be in new condition.
Timeline:
🎄September 25 - October 29 - Commitment for Donations being accepted (description needed). Tickets reserved for Donors. Donors must commit to their ticket allotment before November 6 or they will be sold to non-donors.
🎄November 7 - Calendar Posted & Ticket Sales open to non-donors (general public). 12:00 NOON. Waiting list will be created, as needed. Tickets will be limited to (5) FIVE per person.
🎄November 20 - Donation Due Date (Donation needs to be received by a member of the Lions Club). All reserved/held tickets MUST be paid for (checks payable to: Deal Island-Chance Lions Club; venmo -C-Lions (5303); or cash) by November 20.
🎄November 21 - November 25 - All unclaimed/unpaid tickets will be sold to (1) Waiting List then (2) General Public. Calendar will be updated to reflect any additional donations received. There will not be any prizes removed from the calendar, only added if additional prizes are received.
🎄November 26 - Daily drawings begin.
If you plan to make a donation, please contact Carrie Day at 443-614-9926 or by email at [email protected] or by the Facebook post (relating to the calendar) and share the specifics by October 29 so that the prize calendar can be created. Please keep in mind the actual donation does not need to be received by the Deal Island-Chance Lions Club until Friday, November 20.
