First Class begins @10:00am EST

This is a FUN show. You may go all out with show clothes, show tack, bathing and clipping or you can keep it casual. Leave your horses fuzzy and use your everyday tack/clothing. Tack must be suitable for each class and be in good working order.

Classes to be held: Halter Classes(including Mini/Pony), Color Halter, Showmanship, Leadline, Leadline Trail, In Hand Trail, Walk/Trot, Youth & Adult Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Youth & Adult Trail, Pleasure Driving, Barrels, Poles, Flags, Plug, Egg & Spoon, Scudahole, etc.

All age groups will receive 1st place trophy and 1st -5th place Ribbons.
1st, Grand and Reserve Trophies for Halter along with 1st -5th place ribbons.
1st place Trophy,1st -5th Ribbons and High Point Trophies for Speed.

$4 per class or
$40 for all classes in an exhibitor's riding skill level/age division.

Camping welcome on grounds. Water on grounds. Munchies available day of show. Indoor arena for warm up. Limited stalls available for $10, provide your own shavings.
In case of inclement weather, classes will be held in the Indoor Arena.

Current Proof of Negative Coggins Required for ALL Horses.
All Riders Under 18yrs MUST Wear a Helmet
Proper boots required for all ages.

Trail Ride!!!! October 11th @ 1PM. At the Horse Pulling Grounds in Champion, signs will be posted. Registration starting at 12 noon. Please bring a dish to pass at the end of the ride for the pot luck. (The Club will provide sloppy joes, and water) Hopefully the weather will be good! Donations of $10/rider would be greatly appreciated. This trail can be a mix of grassy and rocky footing depending on which trail is used. The ride lasts between 1&1/2 -2 hours, and can be extended... :) feel free to call Cindy @ 906-371-2360 for more info or to pre register, thank you.

Just throwing this thought out there also...would there be anyone interested in doing a Ride from Champion Horse pulling grounds to Michigamme and back on either July 5th or 6th? It's about 4 hours of riding with some rocky terrain but a lot of beautiful scenery... and I was thinking maybe we could have someone grill up burgers and dogs and do a pot luck when we would get back???

was out riding the trail tonight, wow is it perfect colors right now...hoping it stays till the 14th! Mtg Thursday night at the Township hall at 7pm for the trail ride organizing, hope you can make it! :)

Due to unforeseen circumstances and several cancellations of participants, the Champion Trailblazers have decided to postpone their TJ Clibborn and Tracy Porter Clinic on Sept 27th-30th. They will be rescheduling
the clinic for the spring and will post a date as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience to all. Deposits will be returned.

Hello Fellow horse people! well, the time is fast approaching for our Fun Show in July. First thing you need to know is the date change! we had advertised it for the 14th of July but due to unforeseen scheduales, we must change it to the 15th of july.
We have finally put together a scheduale of events...

1pm registration
2pm game start time
The games will include individual and team competitions (teams will be divided up randomly during the registration)
Games will include, yet subject to change if needed,
The Ribbon Race
Root Beer Relay
Veggie Stew
Flag Race
Obsticle Course
Egg and Spoon (divided into 2 age catagories)
Ride a Buck (must provide own dollar, winner takes all)
Simon Says
Red light green light
Cataloge race
starting around 3:30 will be a luncheon with the club providing hot dogs, hamburgers, pop and water. Pot luck items from participants is highly encouraged :)
4pm opitional trail ride to follow the games

Prizes awarded for each catagory winner!
Any game can be done for lead line riders!

Cost for the day will be a straight 10 dollars to participate, of course any additional donations are greatly appreciated since it is a fund raiser for the indoor arena project.

This will take place at the Horsepulling grounds in Champion

Hello from Champion! We had a very beautiful day for our trail ride! thank you to all who came out to support us. We tried out a different trail this time and it was quite enjoyable. :) I am convinced that we could host a week long trail ride and never have to ride the same trail twice for very long because of all the directions the trail system takes. I think the ride lasted for a little over two hours and for those of us not quite in "trail riding" shape yet it was enough, haha. We enjoyed a nice lunch afterwards with time to visit. Our next event will be the fun show in July. Lots of planning to do and organizing for that so if you are interested in helping out, please let me know! :)
