The PROJECT ATHLETES program is aimed to help keep student athletes engaged with the benefits of organized sports throughout the year. The PROJECT ATHLETES program is designed for junior and senior high school athletes to improve their personal athletic abilities and their personal growth. The program includes individualized cross-training and a unique accountability program. PROJECT ATHLETES help
s teens stay engaged with the positive activities of their chosen sport during the off-season, while learning to be accountable adults. The vision of PROJECT ATHLETES is to provide the necessary resources to help all athletes achieve success, regardless of their socio-economic standing. Resources include, but are not limited to nutrition, proper clothing, training, tutoring and mentorship. The accountability portion of the program will include maintaining a minimum GPA, school attendance, and volunteer hours. A partnership between PROJECT ATHLETES and the local high schools has been established in order to ensure a structured progress-monitoring program will be in place. All members of the PROJECT ATHLETES Program will have access to a training facility membership at a standard, reduced or free rate. The membership will be free or at a reduced-rate based on need. Service hour requirements will be achieved through volunteering at the PROJECT ATHLETES host site or an accessible facility/location within the community. The junior and senior high school athlete population is intentional. This demographic allows the program to fit the positive mission and vision of the PROJECT ATHLETES host site while also being able to reach a large population of teens. Peer to peer recruitment is essential in building an organized teen program and because of the team oriented aspect, it is with confidence the program can start with a large number of participants and retain those participants throughout the year.
