Celebrate, we will!! Because 💙💛 our new members! This week, meet Kyle Handschin!

Kyle was introduced to Champaign West Rotary by his friend, Vilma Howard. One beautiful reason he chose to join Rotary was to set a proper example of Godly stewardship for his children who look up to him—he wants them to see their father participating and volunteering in community service.

Kyle is a proud University of Illinois alum and moved away after college. When he moved back to Champaign, he started his own business, Healthy Homes By Handschin, which specializes in kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, and complete home makeovers.

Celebrate!! We 💙💛 our new members! This week, meet Katie Franks!

Katie was introduced to Champaign West Rotary by her co-worker and friend, Cathy Rector. She previously was a member of the East Peoria Rotary Club. Throughout her time in Peoria, she was deeply committed to community leadership and civic engagement. Here in the Champaign-Urbana area, she is eager to translate that same passion for service into local involvement and felt Champaign West offered meaningful ways to connect with and contribute to the CU community.

Katie has a strong background in fundraising and is currently the Manager of Development for Carle Health Center for Philanthropy, a role that she truly enjoys.

Katie and her husband, a Philo native, recently relocated from the Peoria area. They have three sons and a daughter. Outside of work, Katie enjoys family, friends, and basketball. That's a good thing, because her husband, Matt, is the varsity basketball coach for Unity!

It’s time to introduce you to another new member! This week, meet Justin McCoy!!

Justin was introduced to Champaign West Rotary by a family friend and co-worker, Angela Carr. He was drawn to Rotary to develop his professional network, as well as work alongside community leaders to grow our community through economic development and guidance.

Justin is a Savoy native and a Champaign Central graduate. He played golf for Webster University, where he earned his BS in Finance. He went on to Switzerland to earn his MBA with a concentration in finance.

With a strong foundation in finance and commercial lending, Justin is currently lending his talents to the University of Illinois Community Credit Union, where he is a Commercial Loan Administrator. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, hiking, skiing, and exploring French culture.
