CAACI has participated in a few Lunar New Year celebrations in town for the cultural celebrations. In the Lunar New Year day, we worked with the Research Park at University of Illinois for an unforgettable experience with delicious Asian food, traditional performances, ancient Chinese instruments, Photo Booth, and cultural activities. Thanks to the Research Park to host the event and thanks all the participants to celebrate the festival with us together! Today is the Lantern Festival, which marks the end of the Spring Festival. We wish everyone have a great and prosperous year of horse!

CAACI collaborated with University YMCA and performed traditional dances and Jasmine Flower to entertain audiences at the 2026 Lunar New Year Celebration!

FusionFest 2026 just concluded successfully in the community! It was another sellout success! We had a smaller facility this year but the Wesley Church was full of people, laughters, performances and fun! Thanks to everyone who have supported and helped with this big event! Thanks to the current Association President, Yingman Tang’s leadership! Thanks for all the participants and our beloved Mayor of Champaign, Deb Feinen’s visit! Happy Lunar New Year, everyone!

Hello friends!

The Chinese Association will be hosting a
🎉 2026 Year of the Horse Lunar New Year Celebration 🎉
on Sunday, February 15, from 4:30–7:00 PM,
at Wesley Church · Great Hall.

This event is free to attend, but due to limited venue capacity, advance registration is required. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register in advance.

On-site refreshments will be provided by Dim Sum House, and we sincerely thank the business for offering special discounts to support the Chinese American Association of Central Illinois. Guests are welcome to pre-order at their discretion and enjoy authentic dim sum.

If any generous businesses or individuals are willing to support this Lunar New Year event, we warmly welcome participation through voluntary donations, helping us jointly promote community cultural activities.
