We were honored to host Dr. Stanley Andrisse, who wrote From Prison Cells to PhD, for one of our most engaging conversations yet. Thank you to everyone who joined us, completed the survey, and visited our resource tables. We hope this event leaves all of us with a lesson about the barriers people face after incarceration, and about what changes when we help remove them. Thank you for helping make this Friday Forum + Conversation Café feel immersive and all your efforts. 💛

Whoever thought the Y couldn't come up with new surprises or fresh takes on an art gallery event was proven wrong when a mariachi band showed up at Art @ the Y. 🎺

Jose Vazquez is a Mexico-born, Chicago-raised artist, muralist, and illustrator whose work blends bold color, public art, and community storytelling. With decades of experience, he continues to transform spaces through his art. Welcome week was truly a special experience and had a strong start because of him.💛🦋
